TERMS OF SERVICE

Petal & Post Bespoke Wedding Terms of Service

By accepting a bespoke wedding floral quote from Petal & Post, you are agreeing to our Terms of Service as detailed below.

The Quote Process:

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. Payment details are included on the invoice, which was emailed with your quote. The deposit is credited toward the balance of your wedding flowers. The remaining balance is required in full, 30 days prior before your wedding date. Your quote from Petal & Post is valid for 30 days. This timeframe is determined by the date stamp on the original email you received with your quote attached. On the date that you receive your wedding flower quote, your wedding date is available for booking. Please be aware that bookings fill quickly, especially in peak seasons. If you have not accepted your quote and another client requests your date, we will endeavour to contact you by phone and email, before reassigning your date.

Flower Selection:

We work within your chosen colour palette, and where possible, specific flower selections. We use the freshest seasonal, locally grown flowers available. If you ask for a specific flower variety, we will do our best to include it, however, Mother Nature is unpredictable, and we cannot always guarantee that we will be able to fulfil your request. We ask you to trust our knowledge and experience when making these substitutions, though you always have the final approval.

Cancellation Policy:

We understand that sometimes plans change and we'll do our best to accommodate a change of date, where possible. We must be notified in writing of a change of date at least 30 days prior to the original wedding date and rescheduling is subject to our availability.

All wedding floral services include a 30% non-refundable payment. If you need to cancel, we will provide a 70% refund if you contact us in writing at least 30 days prior to your wedding date, however, within 30 days of your wedding date, we will not be able to provide a refund.

Varying an order:

Upon your quote, you are accepting the items and agreeing to the value listed on the quote. Should you need to reduce or cancel items, we are happy to do so, however, no reductions can be made from 30 days prior to your wedding date. Please also note that the final total may not be reduced by more than 10% of the accepted quote.

There are no refunds for cancellations of individual items within 30 days of your wedding date. Flowers for those items will be utilised to upgrade other arrangements going ahead.

Delivery and Setup:

Delivery details including addresses are confirmed 2 weeks prior to your wedding date, this includes delivery addresses for bouquets and buttonholes. You will need to provide us with suitable addresses, timeframes and a contact person and their phone number (it is best to nominate someone else for this as the couple will be busy with preparations). It is your responsibility to ensure we have correct delivery details. If there is no person available to receive the goods, the goods will be left in a safe place, and we will contact you to advise where the goods have been left. If there is not a safe place to leave the goods, they will be delivered to your venue, along with the rest of your order. We will decide whether or not it is safe.

Please note that the contact person you provide will be the person we seek at the time of delivery - this person will be responsible for checking and agreeing on your behalf that you are happy with the flowers, the style, freshness and all factors pertaining to the items delivered.  Should you wish for this to only be you, please advise so.

Flowers are very fragile and need to be handled carefully. We package flowers securely so when they are transported there is no damage. Bouquets are packaged in a box with water at the base. Please keep flowers in a cool area once they arrive at the location. Keep them away from the hairstyling location. They don't like the hairspray fumes.

Petal & Post will not be held responsible or liable for any instances where set up cannot be completed due to lack of permission or lack of safety at the venue.

It is the responsibility of the couple to liaise with both ceremony and reception venues regarding the construction of floral arbours or instillations and hired items that can cause damage such as stakes into the ground (grass) or hanging installations on existing beams and structures. Delivery and set up times will need to be confirmed with the venue on the week of the wedding.

We will require full access and appropriate working conditions in order to fulfil our services with you. You will need to inform your venue what you have employed us to do and also the time we require to set up on the day. Should we be denied access, be delayed by the venue or any other supplier on the day, be presented with unsafe or hazardous working conditions, we will complete everything to the best of ability, however, in extreme circumstances, if we cannot complete the job due to no fault of our own, we will leave the products at the venue. Should other last-minute decisions be made due to any unpredicted circumstance, we will advise the venue manager and the issues relating to the decision. Petal & Post are not responsible for items once delivery and set up has been completed.

Photography:

Petal & Post retain the right to photograph finished work which may be used in self-promotion and advertising. Photos taken by us of your arrangements remain our property. We are always grateful for any photos of our florals provided to us and will only use them as permitted by you. Photographer and other supplier credits will be displayed when provided. We take no responsibility for your photos being used in any way which is not permitted.

Hired Items
All hired items such as vases and urns, as per your quote, are the responsibility of the hirer from the point of delivery until the time Petal & Post collects all items from your venue. Petal & Post will work with you and your venue to set an appropriate pick-up time after your event (usually the morning after). All hired items are to be present at the agreed time for pick-up by Petal & Post. Couples are welcome to take any florals, but all hired items are to remain at the venue and any florals taken before the agreed pick-up time. Should any items be lost, damaged or stolen, it is the responsibility of the hirer to pay for the replacement.  The cost will be charged at full retail replacement cost + GST + freight.  Should the wholesale supplier have a minimum order value, then the hirer is responsible for the full cost to ensure the damaged items are replaced.  Payment is required within 48 hours of return date.
